Our story

I started out hanging TVs

RelayLeads wasn't planned as a software company. It came out of running jobs, and getting tired of how long it took to get paid for them.

Where I come from

I'm a contractor, a systems integrator, and a full-stack web developer. I've been building websites and web applications for more than ten years, since 2012. What I know about the work comes from running service businesses in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania: selling the job, lining up labor, buying materials, doing the install, and being the one responsible when something goes wrong.

N-Home AV is my residential company. It started with me hanging TVs. Today it does whole-home integration. It grew through search and its website, with no sales team.

Farmer Systems & Construction is the same idea on the commercial side: access control, networking, and construction work for public schools and community buildings. That one grew the old way, through referrals and reputation.

The problem I kept running into

Two businesses, two ways of finding customers, and the same friction in both. It was never the work itself. It was everything between the jobs.

A customer fills out a form and waits for a call back. I coordinate the schedule by hand. The quote takes too long. The deposit doesn't get collected when it should. The details end up spread across messages, spreadsheets, and apps. And I'm the single point of failure for all of it.

The part that cost the most was the wait to get paid. Then I noticed something simple: the easier I made it for a customer to pay, the faster the job closed, and the sooner I was on to the next one. Speed wasn't a nice extra. It was the difference between a business that grows and one that just keeps me busy.

Why I built it myself

Most small operators don't need another complicated CRM with a toolbar and forty tabs. They need something that lets a customer find them, see the price, book, and pay, without the owner touching every step.

So I built it, the way I'd design any system for a client. Integration work teaches you networks, automation, conditional logic, and what it costs when a system fails. I applied the same thinking to software. AI tools helped me build it faster. The direction, the decisions, and the problems it solves came from the jobs.

Then I put my own company on it. N-Home AV runs on RelayLeads every day. I've watched customers book and pay through it without me lifting a finger, which was the whole point.

What I believe

A business that stops working when its owner steps away isn't really independent. I don't want my family, my customers, or my companies to depend on me being physically present every hour.

I can say that because I live it. My companies work in Harrisburg. I live in Colorado. I moved because the businesses run on RelayLeads and no longer need me standing in the room. Everything in this product was observed in Harrisburg and executed in Denver.

Time and freedom are worth more to me than piling up money. Software should take the repetitive work so people can spend their hours on what actually needs their judgment. RelayLeads isn't built to make you work harder. It's built to give you time back.

Who it's for

I'm not building another big-company field service suite. RelayLeads is for the solo operator and the person who just got started: one truck, one phone, no office. The people who've never had this kind of setup because it was priced and designed for someone bigger.

Real service businesses are on it now, taking leads, booking customers, and getting paid. If it's working the way I want, you barely notice it. Customers get served. You get paid. You get your time back.
